I have always adored the Boston Public Library. From the first day Eric and I arrived in Boston 2007, the downtown library became our headquarters for researching our brand new city. We didn’t have internet service, and the iPhone didn’t exist yet (what a world) so as we settled in to our new lives, surrounded by the sites and smells of a ridiculously beautiful building, as we enjoyed some of the comforts of home.
Now 6.5 years later, my studio is just around the corner from where my Boston adventure began, and where Christine and Dan have spent many a night studying in their respective fields. And although Christine and Dan didn’t officially meet in the library (as they’ve put it to me “our spaceships both crashed on the same asteroid (21matchdotcomE6)”) they knew they wanted to incorporate the Library into their wedding day, as they’ve spent much of their adult lives in the courtyard together, as so many Bostonian students have.
