Laura and Chris had an intimate lunch soiree at Union Bar and Grille over the weekend, which was a nice change of pace from my late Saturday nights. When I first met Laura and Chris, Laura mentioned one thing about my work she really liked, and that was I can capture guests having a good time even if they’re not dancing. So that was my goal for their celebration, to remember what every wedding I document is about, not the fancy decor, not the cake, not the dance party, (although I love a good dance party) but rather a couples closest friends and family coming together to celebrate a marriage, which in and of itself is a beautiful thing.

Jaimie + Josh at Upstairs on the Square
There are a lot of things to talk about from Jaimie and Josh’s wedding, but to name a few… I absolutely love when couples get ready together in their home. For wedding photographers, it’s environmental portraiture at its best. I also love a good color photograph, and their wedding exploded color! As for details, I adored their table cards in a card catalog drawer. For two people who work in a library, this couldn’t be more appropriate. And finally, can we talk about the tomato soup shooter and mini grilled cheese hors d’ oeuvres, ridiculously amazing!
