Kaitlin + Pete at the Red Lion Inn

Kaitlin and Pete’s wedding kicked off my fall season at the Red Lion Inn, complete with custom embroidered cross-trainers (the perfect wedding gift from one fitness buff to another.) A little rain, a little sunshine, some wicked dance moves, and the Jackson 5! They are apparently still alive and kickin’ in Cohasset MA. I also had the opportunity to work with a friend and fellow building mate, Kelly of Artistic Blossoms, who provided the lovely floral work.

Here are just a few of the many highlights from Kaitlin and Pete’s extravaganza, with many new images hitting the blog in the coming weeks!

Rebecca + Perry at the Commander’s Mansion

In recent weeks I’ve had the pleasure of participating in many different cultural events, and Rebecca and Perry’s wedding was no different. Their traditional Jewish wedding included a few customs new to me, the Tisch (the greeting of the bride and groom, although separated at this point.) The Bedeken (the veiling of the bride.) And of course, the Ketubah signing (the marriage contract.)

I also had the rare opportunity to work with my partner in crime, Kelly Lorenz of KL Imagery. When I first moved to Boston in 2007, Kelly and I would work together several times throughout the wedding season, but it’s a rarity for us anymore, with our overlapping schedules. Kelly contributed 12 of the images below (scrolling over one of Kelly’s photos will give credit where credit is very much due.) Now, onto the photos…

Karen + Steven at the Museum of Science

At the beginning of August I had the pleasure of photographing a three day Indian wedding, and it was awesome! I met up with Karen and Steve on Thursday evening for their Sangeet, basically a dance party with mehndi on the side, love! Then it was on to Friday for their religious Sikh ceremony, a beautiful religion of equality. Seeing Steven’s turban get wrapped was one of the coolest wedding activities I’ve witnessed, I had no idea the cloth was so long, like 15ft long! And finally on Saturday, Karen and Steve hosted their family and friends for a western style ceremony and reception at the Museum of Science. What a fabulous event to be a part of, thanks for having me guys!

Anna + Matt on Chebeague Island Maine

I met Anna and Matt through two fabulous clients from last season, if you follow my blog you may remember Liz and Kyle’s wedding from last October. So when Anna called and told me she and Matt were having their wedding at her family home on an island in Maine, I said sign me up! Both families were incredible to work with, you’ll see how adorable the parent dances are, and Anna and Matt have an incredible amount of love for each other that exploded out of them all day long. And when Anna read a diary entry from 2006 there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I’ve heard a lot of toasts in my day, but this one gave me goosebumps.

Thanks so much for sharing your wedding day with me guys! Now, onto the images…

Abigail + Ned at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum

Abigail and Ned aren’t necessarily car fanatics, but the Larz Anderson Auto Museum has a fabulous park with great views of the city, where they hope to visit with their own family one day.

The ladies also had the coolest bouquets I have ever seen, giant succulents wrapped in burlap, amazingness!
