Milo

Meet the newest member of the Doyle family, Milo! In 2009 I photographed Steph and Rich’s wedding, which despite the torrential rain and loss of power was a blast, so I knew hanging out with Milo would be just as fun. I don’t photograph children often, but I always enjoy documenting the lives of clients (and friends) after their wedding day. This was also the first time I have signed any wedding work. Steph ordered a fabulously large canvas of one of their wedding details, so over the weekend they asked me to sign the piece as it hung on their wall!

Thanks for sharing your afternoon with me guys, I can’t wait to share the rest with you!

Karina + Jeff Engaged

I’m back from a brief hiatus, i.e. vacation, of which I may share a few images in the coming months. As snow piles up in New England (although I do love winter) palm trees will start to look pretty good come February.

Now, back to the task at hand. I spent a lovely evening with Karina and Jeff over the weekend documenting their engagement. When I first sit down with a couple I try and learn as much about them as possible, for the most part I already know what the wedding is going to look like, so my ultimate goal is to really understand who my clients are. With Karina and Jeff I knew almost immediately they didn’t want the same ol’ thing when it came to their images, so we decided to document an evening in their lives. We started off with a cocktail, (well, they did) explored their neighborhood, and finally finished up with a favorite dish (also the proposal dish) to close out the evening.

Erin + Jay at the Jonathan Edwards Winery

Erin and Jay’s wedding closed out of 2012 season with a bang! I first met Erin at Melissa and Danny’s fabulous wedding in 2010, so when Erin contacted me last year about her upcoming wedding I knew it would be another amazing day. A day that was filled with an incredible amount of love, Erin’s dad was even looking down on her as a rainbow appeared just before the ceremony! That still gives me goosebumps.

As the guests were seated for the ceremony they were asked to take part in the event by adding a handful of grapes to the press which would then be turned into a juice Erin and Jay would share during the ceremony. A very neat idea, even if pressing grapes turned out to be much harder than anticipated. And the amazingness didn’t stop there, Jay also wrote and performed a song for Erin during the ceremony, yeah, that happened! So needless to say, it was a perfect way to finish out my season.

I hope you guys are enjoying Hawaii! Now onto the images…

Kate + Phil Engaged

Four days before Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast I traveled down to NYC for Kate and Phil’s engagement session, this couldn’t have been timed more appropriately. We started off in their fabulous apartment, something I really love documenting with couples, and then took a stroll through Riverside Park in their neighborhood. If more of New York City looked like their neighborhood I could definitely live there!

Finally we caught a cab over to Central Park and paid homage to Phil’s engagement, with a kite, although not the proposal kite.

Thanks for a lovely afternoon guys, I hope these images remind you of drier times in NYC!
